Manic Monday

I survived the weekend. My car has traveled 410+ miles since Friday. I think I could probably sleep for a week, but back to work today for me. My hubby gets today and tomorrow off, lucky duck. Only now he gets to do all the chores that we didn’t get done, like all the laundry (insert maniacal laugh).

The goals for this week. Lose the weight we put on this weekend. This means no fun, fancy dishes. No soda, no bread, no pasta and no sweets. Basically, we are going to be eating chicken and rice all week long. I hope I do not die of boredom.

On the up side maybe I’ll finish reading “Eat, Pray, Love” with all this time I’m going to be saving from not cooking elaborately. Or work on the patchwork pacemats.

I promise to have a whole bunch of new stuff to cook up for next week. It should be great since I’m going to have a whole week to plan it all out.

  1. Driving is definitely really tiring – even though I didn't have to do any of it!!

    I'm sure you can find good ways to spice up even boring chicken and rice – I have a coworker who swears by putting chicken and salsa in a crock pot all day…
