Weekend

The weekend has come to an end. I’m not going to lie and say I’m ready to enter my week rested and relaxed, but it was a successful weekend.

Yesterday we helped Jacks and M unpack some of their things at their new place on the East side of Portland. We had dinner last night with them and our friends Emily and James at Two Brothers Cafe.

Then after dinner we wandered over to Walgreens where they had 3 boxes of candy for $3.  Of course I picked up two of my favorites: Sugar Babies and Raisinets.  Alex got a box of sour patch kids.  I woke up this morning with a sugar hang over.  While there we were accosted by a man welding a twig and flower crown and a sketch book.   He asked for us to pray for him to make it out of Walgreens after he hugged us all and called us hipster freaks.  He also would not let anyone touch his sketch book, but insisted that we touch his third nipple.  Very strange experience.

Today was a day at home.  I finished Girls in white dresses and did some cleaning.  Here Zoey is playing with some plastic she found on the floor.

I tackled 6 loads of laundry today and we have more to go since I want to clean all the pillows and bedding in the house as well.  Additionally,I started reading The Butcher and the Vegetarian.
